Our story began quite unexpectedly in Berlin — over a shared ice cream. What started as a casual conversation between our co-founders quickly turned into an intense exchange about a common challenge:
The lack of a clear pathway for Indian talent to find meaningful career opportunities in Germany. Within just three months, this shared vision led to the founding of Adler & Pfau GmbH in Münster.
The name Adler & Pfau embodies both our identities and our values.
- Adler (the eagle), Germany’s national bird, symbolises clarity, vision, and determination.
- Pfau (the peacock), India’s national bird, represents creativity, diversity, and confidence.
Together, they reflect our mission: bridging talent and opportunity across cultures, with the precision of the eagle and the vibrancy of the peacock.

Christiane Brüning is an LSE-educated communications executive with over 20 years of international experience across financial services and global industries. Over the course of her career, she has held senior roles in corporate communications, investor relations and strategic advisory, including serving as a policy advisor to the Board of the Bank of Scotland and as Head of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Lloyd Fonds AG. Today she leads global brand, reputation and stakeholder engagement initiatives at Hellmann.
